What Does Christ See In You?

Mark 11:1-26

Jesus has His eye on you (like the colt)

He knows where you are

He knows what ties you up

He knows what it takes to release you

He is willing to use you for His work (sat upon)

He knows your potential in helping serve Him

The people had their eye on Him

It was Christ they were cheering

It was Christ who deserved their cheers

It was Christ they “paved” the way for – with their garments and palms

The message today is not about us, it is about Him

they were not excited about the colt that had never been ridden – but about the man named Jesus

Christ had His eye on the fig tree

The time was right for fruit (it is now)

He expected fruit (still does)

He found no fruit (does He find fruit in our life)

He was disappointed (He really wants us to bear fruit)

He pronounced judgment on the tree (serious)

The tree withered away

We need to have our eye on Him

We are here to serve Him (the one who has rescued us)

He expects much (because He gives much)

We can serve Him well

(He not only knows what we can do – He will help us do it)

We can lose much

Not only can we lose much, we should know the rewards are also great and…

We can gain much – souls are at stake – souls in the balance

Are we “tied up” just standing around and waiting to be released?

Do we realize our capabilities in helping the Lord?

What fruit are we bearing for Christ?

Are we seeking His best, or are we seeking what pleases us?
