INTRO: As we come to the end the series, "Things Jesus Wants Us To Know," I want you to know I am excited, happy, glad, or whatever else fits. What a wealth of knowledge He has for us in this book. Today, we find ourselves at chapter 22. The chapter starts out with the Lord and His disciples preparing for the Passover. This is to be a special time for the Lord and His small group of His chosen twelve. Jesus wanted them to remember this time. He wanted it to be burned into their minds as well as recorded for us to know and remember as well.

Remember His desire for a solitary closeness - vs. 15

Not limited to an elite - John 3:16

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

We are justified by His blood - Romans 5:9

Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Ultimate price was paid with His blood - 1 Peter 1:18-19

1 Peter 1:18 - 19 ¹⁸Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

As Savior

Only One truly available

As servant - 27

Only One God would allot

As sufficient - 35

Only One acceptable

As God's Son (subservient)

Only one authorized

So, it is with this knowledge we approach today's service
It is with this knowledge we remember the Lord and celebrate His ministry
It is with this knowledge we look for His certain return
