A Sensitive Savior Seeks Sensitive Servants

Aware to the Point of Action

Isaiah 6:1-13

Isaiah 6:1 - 12 ¹In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. ²Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. ³And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. ⁴And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. ⁵Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. ⁶Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: ⁷And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. ⁸Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. ⁹And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. ¹⁰Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. ¹¹Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate, ¹²And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.

INTRO: We hear a lot today about being sensitive. This usually means a touchy "feely" type of attitude. God needs sensitive servants. Not the ones that are in touch with their feelings, or ones that are so easy to get their feelings hurt, but the ones that are aware! Sensitive to the point that they are aware, Aware to the point of Action!

We are going to look at 5 ways we can be sensitive to Him…

Philippians 4:4 - 10 ⁴Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. ⁵Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. ⁶Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. ⁷And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. ⁸Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. ⁹Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. ¹⁰But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.

Our lives and others
Become Aware
Not of Material things (Nike, Camaro, McDonalds), etc.
God’s plan and desire for us to serve, etc. Rom. 10:13-17

Romans 10:13 - 17 ¹³For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. ¹⁴How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? ¹⁵And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! ¹⁶But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? ¹⁷So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Share the duties - relate to a newborn

Ownership is needed
What does God want you to do?
Do we need more watchers or doers?
Do we not see the need? Are we aware?

Sacrifice for Him

Consciously - purposefully
Continually
Concerning:

1. Giving control of our lives to Him

2. Trusting Him

3. Honoring Him

4. Seeing the possibilities

Do we see the sacrifice
Do we see the opportunity before us?

5. Giving to God – not losing something

Stroll with Him

We need to simply just walk with Him
Is our goal to be a good Christian?
Is our goal to be a great Christian?
Is our goal to be aware?
Is our goal to have action in our lives?
