Portrayals Of Boaz That Parallel The Lord

Ruth 2

We have a "near kinsman" who is mighty and of great wealth - 1

Even when we know Him not, He is available

He is capable in every way

He is a prudent, providential (caring), providing, and proper kinsman. - 3-9

His field is where we must go

He is the right lineage to be our kinsman

He has met our need

He is aware of our need

He is willing to meet our need

He wants to meet our need

We approach the Lord as a stranger - 10

We have no ability to provide for our own help

We are (were) away from the presence of God

He will give to us to eat

The Lord knows when we look away from this life and look toward Him, and He welcomes us to commune with Him. 11-14

The Lord sees our need to leave dependence on this life's elements

We need to turn from false gods of this world (vs. 12 refers to turning from her country's false gods)

When we answer to the Lord He hears

He knocks on our hearts door

The Lord gives to us protection and provision in a timely manner. 15-17

He is in control

He takes care of us in His own way

The Lord's blessings are great. 18-23

His blessings are adequate at least

His blessings are great

His blessings are to be shared
