Marking And Walking As Our Examples Of Attainments
Philippians 3:7-21; text - vs. 17
INTRO: Do we really look at and "mark" those around us? Do we expect to be examined? Compared? Looked at? Scrutinized? Should we expect it?
Is it right for the lost to do so? Do they? What about the saved? Shouldn't they be looking at Christ?
If they are looking at us and marking us, should we try to walk properly? Can we walk okay? Did Paul? Can we follow him?
Put Christ first - vs.7-8
Our desires are held in check
Credit Christ, not self - vs. 9-10
Our good is in Him
Pursue Christ's ways - vs. 11-14
They are right
Continue in Christ's ways - vs. 15-16
They do right
Proceed (Walk) as an example - vs. 17-19
We do walk in front of others
Communicate the good things of His way - vs. 20-21
God's ways should be our ways and we should remember where we are headed
