2 Kings 7; A prelude of 2 Kings 6:8-33

INTRO: As we read in chapter 6, we see the dire situation Samaria was in. They had no hope. They were starving. They were helpless. They were basically without hope. Yet, God was able to do for them what He wanted to do. Even what was thought impossible by many.

The Improbable - vs. 1-2

He can make it so

For the undeniable - vs. 3-5

He can bring it to pass

To the undefeatable - vs. 6-7

He can cut them off

With the unprofitable - vs. 8-11

He can bless others

Because of the untouchable - vs. 12-16

Answer unanswered prayers

Teach the unbelievable - vs. 17-20

Make true His Word

Do not despair when things are darkest - they were so down

Do not depend upon your abilities - the people were trying to fix it themselves

Do not doubt the Lord's power - the "lord" had no hope

Do not deny His care for His own - they did not see God's love

Do not denounce His methods and means - they were unsure of God's blessings

Do not distance yourself from His grace - blame God (6:31)
