Its Still The Harvest - Part 1

Matt 9:35-38 35And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. 36But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. 37Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; 38Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Jesus still has the message of truth - 35

His Word speaks

His Word cuts

His Word discerns

His Spirit witnesses

Our lives reveal His message in action

We must also preach it

Jesus still cares for the hurting and sick - 35b

Matthew 20:34 34So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

Sickness can cause sincere reflection

Sickness can cause beneficial promises

We must also apply it (healing)

Jesus still has compassion for those in trouble - 36

Luke 7:13 - 15 13And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. 14And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. 15And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.

Souls still are lost

The estimated number of non-Christians in the U.S. would constitute the 4th largest nation in the world! There is a large and growing gap between Christians and non-Christians in the U.S. - Barna Research

Spirit still is around

Satan is still going to lose. But we must work

We must share it (missions one way?)

Jesus still wants us involved in the harvest - 38

Prayer for the harvest

Plan for the harvest

Promote the harvest

Participation for the harvest

We must also cultivate it (water and plant)

He will increase it

1 Cor 3:6-10 6I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. 8Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. 9For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building. 10According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
