Heb. 13:6

Heb. 13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

INTRO.: Have you ever felt alone, helpless, unable to take care of yourself or your family? Have you ever thought of the fact that you alone cannot gain heaven? Have you ever needed help and been unsure of where to turn? Well today I want to talk about Jesus' desire to help you.

He knows what you need (more than you) and will help you.

Help is on the way…

For those who need the gospel - Mark 1:15

God prepared the way - vs. 2
Jesus is the Way

John 14:6,7 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. ⁷If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

For those who need direction - 1:17

Jesus wants us to follow Him - 17-20
Jesus wants us to learn from Him - 22

For those who are in Satan's grip - 1:23

Satan's grip is vocal and strong - vs. 23
Satan is aware He is not match for the Son of God - vs. 24

For those who are ill - 1:30

Jesus cares for our friends (Peter's mother-in-law) (anon = at once)
Jesus cares for all
Jesus cares for you

For those who seek Him 1:37

He wants to save and cleanse them - vs. 40
He reaches for you

For those who need forgiveness 2:5

Only through Jesus can we be saved

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

He calls sinners to repentance 2:17

So what about the hungry, sick, maimed, hurting, the lost, etc.?

Help is on the way - if they will ask and accept Him.

Matt. 7:7-11 ⁷Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: ⁸For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. ⁹Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? ¹⁰Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? ¹¹If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

This is not like the "check is in the mail!" Jesus will help you, help is on the way.
