What Can Caring Do For Me In My Life?
1 Sam. 17; vs. 29, 50 - text

29 And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?

50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.

Intro: Have you ever met anyone that did not care? How difficult it is to have a positive attitude around them. How hard it is to find the good things that encourage us to keep on and on. How easy it is to fall into the same trap, not really caring about anything.

Are you that type of person? Do you care about what happens to God's work at East 38th Street Free Will Baptist Church? Are you on a constant downer and just do not care?

I want to look at how caring, truly caring can and will change your life for the better!

First I want to glance at how…
An uncaring attitude damages your life

It causes you to dislike almost everything, especially things that are positive

It builds apathy

It heaps discouragement and depression upon us

It encourages neglect of duty in others and ourselves

It helps distance us from God and others

It causes God's work to delay and decay

It decreases our respect for His work

It nurtures a backsliding attitude in our life

It is not pleasing to God

Now I want to spend time at how…

True caring brings results in our lives

It brightens our day because it gives us a cause

It causes sharing

It springboards excitement in the Body of Christ

It raises up great expectation in our lives

It brings forth repairing

It causes cooperation to be a norm versus an aberration

It nurtures a continuing caring attitude

It causes action on our part and the victory that accompanies our action and faith
