How To Be A Good Laborer For The Lord
Lu. 10:2

INTRO: It seems we have so few that are willing to labor for the Lord these days. Most people do not want to give the Lord the time it takes to accomplish what needs to be done. Most are willing to just sit on the sidelines and let others do the labor that God expects them to do for Him.

Are you a good laborer for the Lord this day? Are you in this for Him? Will you work where He needs you?

Lu. 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

 Care enough to personally work

Be there
Be there to work
Be there to help
Be there to share (labor, good times, hard times, etc)
Be there to make a difference
Be there often (not just a hobby or fill-in)
Mark 13: 34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Phil. 2: 12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
17 Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.
18 For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.

Care about the One for whom you work

Know Him
Know His Sacrifice
Know His goals/plans

Luke 10: 27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
