What Kind Of PALMS Will You Give Today?
Mark 11:1-14, 19-26

INTRO:   In our society it is gim'me, gim'me, gim'me! Most people look at most things with the approach, what is in it for me? Today, I want us to think about what we can give to Christ and others.  Today, on Palm Sunday I want to look at Christ's entry into Jerusalem.
Have you ever wondered about Christ's Triumphant Entry into Jerusalem? Did Christ need this or did the people need this? Did Christ need the encouragement as He faced His toughest week? Or did the people need to rise to their responsibility and do what God desired of them?
Would the rocks have cried out? Jesus said they would! What will happen to us as a church, if we cease to give to Christ the due that He has coming to us? Are we lining up to give to Christ what He wants from our lives?
What Kind Of PALMS Will You Give Today?

Praising Jesus Christ with:

· Prayer of a true believer (When we lay our palms on the floor)
· Purpose of a determined partner
· Power of an empowered believer

Anticipating with:

· Asking
· Assurance
· Adulation

John 15:13-17

Laying down your life with love:

· Youthfulness or a freshness in our love (just like our little kids that will hug us so close)
· Wholeheartedness - really giving our all     ILL. 85 Giving
· Beforehand while we are young and our ways are changeable

Moving towards Maturity

· Embrace responsibilities
· Minister for the cause
· Mentor others ( we do this all the time, the question is what are we mentoring?)

Serve with sincerity:

· Service of a true servant (think of your Grandmother - kindness, pleasing, just serving to help)
· Sureness (consistency of a rock)
· Strength of salt (our ability to make a difference in people's lives)
