Love is Great, Because God is Good

The word "love" is one of the most misunderstood words on our language. Often it is used for "lust," or easily replaces, "really like" or "enjoy." Love! "I love you!" A great sound to hear, easy to say, but do we really mean it? Do we really know what we mean when we use that word?
 
 

First for some foundation:

  1. Love is more than a feeling
    1. Feelings change – Love is constant
    2. Feelings fade – Love grows
    3. Feelings are emotional – Love is a choice! (Song – "I Will Choose Christ")

  2. Love has an unquenchable thirst
    1. More than superficial appearances
    2. More than self-serving actions
    3. More than personal possession
    4. Only love (and expressing love) can satisfy this thirst (we have a need to love God)

      Great Love by giving His
      Great Sacrifice in the form of
      His Only Begotten Son – Jesus
