"Let Us Pass Over To The
Other Side"
Series: WhatWould
JesusDesire?
- Part 5
Mark 4; TEXT - Mark. 4:35
INTRO: As we look at Mark 4, we see several good
points that we need to apply to our lives. Jesus has a desire that we do
more than just stay on the shoreline. He wants us to go to the other side
and do His works that WILL be done.
-
He desires us to be sowers - vs. 3-20
(Mark 4:20 KJV) And these are they
which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and
bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
-
All of our work will not be great
-
God will bless our work
-
He desires our light to shine - vs.
21-23
(Mark 4:21 KJV) And he said unto
them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and
not to be set on a candlestick?
22 For there is nothing hid, which
shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it
should come abroad.
23 If any man have ears to hear, let
him hear.
-
We are like a candlestick
-
We should not be hid
Mark 4:24 And he said unto them, Take
heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you:
and unto you that hear shall more be given.
25 For he that hath, to him shall
be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which
he hath.
26 And he said, So is the kingdom
of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
27 And should sleep, and rise night
and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit
of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in
the ear.
29 But when the fruit is brought forth,
immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
-
His desire is that we know, we are
responsible for what we CAN do - vs. 24-29
-
We are responsible for what we
hear/know - vs. 24
-
We are responsible for what we do
vs. 24-25
REGARDLESS WHAT OTHERS DO - there are
some here that will lose what they now have unless they get with it! You
complain, and do not do anything yourself. IS THAT RIGHT?- vs. 25
-
His desire is that we understand how
great an opportunity we have - vs. 30-32
-
It only takes a small amount of faith
- vs. 31
-
We can help others - vs. 32
-
He desires that we pass over to the
other side- vs. 35-41
-
There is an opportunity on the
other side
-
We must get "alone" with Him -
36
-
Only some of us will go - 36
-
It will not be easy - 37-38
-
He can get us through the storm
- 39
-
We must believe - 40-41
Will we pass over to the other side and
do what Jesus DESIRES with our lives???? OR will we get in His ship and
help row across the lake of life and reach those He wants us to reach?????
