Series: What Would Jesus Desire? - Part 3
Matt. 16:24-28; Text - Matt. 9:9

Matt. 16: 24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

TEXT- Matt. 9: 9 And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.

INTRO: What would Jesus do? On of the new sayings that has swept our society today. While not detracting from the question, I want you to consider over the next several weeks another similar question -- WHAT WOULD JESUS DESIRE? Let us face it all of us look at Jesus as one who can do much more than we can. One who will always do the right thing. One who knows what to do, and does it! The question is, what will we do with Him? For Him? And through Him?????? WHAT DOES HE DESIRE FOR OUR LIVES?

The first message of this series, I used for a thought, Who Do You Say He Is? My two main points were, first we must Recognize Him as the Christ and second, we should Place Him First in our lives. The second message was Watch and Pray, Today I will continue in our series -- WHAT WOULD JESUS DESIRE?

I am sure Christ would desire of us, just as He did Matthew, James, John , Peter and others, that each of us be a F.O.L.L.O.W.E.R. of Him!

  4. Loving Sheep in His fold and care

    6. He expects us to be…

  6. Willing Supporters of His work


    7. He desires us to be…

  7. Enthusiastic Salespersons of His love and plan


    8. He plans for us to be…

  8. Regular Starters in the fray for Him
