Miracles? - Can Do!
Series: "A Look At How Miracles Affect Our Lives"
Jn. 2:1-11;Mk. 2:1-13; Mk. 5:25-34

INTRO: Our last two Sunday morning messages have dealt with the series, "A Look At How Miracles Affect Our Lives." I looked at David and Goliath, and how God works through a willing servant. The last message two weeks ago, I looked at Elijah at the brook, a man that miracles worked through. Why? Because he gave his life to the Lord, God granted many miracles to affect his and others lives around him. Today I want to spend some time with some of the miracles of Christ.

At the marriage in Cana…

  1. Miracles announce His greatness - John 2:1-11
    1. People are in place to see Him do great things - 2
    2. People know He can do great things 3
    3. People expect Him to do great things 5
    4. People obey and He does great things -7,8
    5. People believe because He does great things - 11

When the palsied man was healed…
  1. Miracles acknowledge His deity - Mk. 2:1-13
    1. People spoke of Him - 1
    2. People gathered to Him - 2
    3. People noticed others needs and brought him to Jesus - 3
    4. People did not give up when obstacles hindered - 4
    5. He saw their faith - He forgave sins - 4 - This was the miracle that needed doing! More than the physical - the spiritual!!!!
    6. He healed his body 11-12
    7. Then they acknowledged His deity - 13

When the woman with an issue of blood was healed…
  1. Miracles advance the cause of Christ to the needy - Mk. 5:25-34
    1. She was insignificant - just one lady
    2. She was weary - 12 years she had gotten worse - 25,26
    3. She heard of one who might (could) help - 27
    4. She was desperate and she felt unworthy - 28
    5. She trusted, acted, and received what God had for her - 34

Here we also notice about Christ, He is reachable with our needs!!!!

When we look at Christ and His miracles, do we see them for what they are? Do we notice that Christ is who He said He is! That He is God's Son. He can forgive our sins. He can make a difference in our lives.
