INTRO: The last two weeks we used the themes that we need "SOMEONE WITH A VISION AND WILLING TO TOUCH PEOPLE'S LIVES," and "SOMEONE WITH ENOUGH PASSION THAT THEY WILL CONTINUE NO MATTER WHAT THE DIFFICULTIES FACING THEM!" Today I want to realize we need "SOMEONE THAT WILL SERVE IN THE GOOD TIMES AS WELL AS BAD."
 

1. Joseph endured with Patience
1. Two years (after cup bearers dream) before he had a meeting with Pharaoh.
2. More mature, usable, wiser, capable Joseph
   
   
2. Joseph Met the King Prepared
1. To serve with humbleness and vigor
2. To serve as a Servant (of the Lord)
   
   
3. Joseph Served the King with a Purpose Gen. 41-46-49
1. Hard worker
2. Honest
   
   
4. Joseph Served His God, Jehovah with Purity
1. He endured new temptations, well and remained true
2. He exclaimed God's Blessings Gen. 41:50-52
   
   

• Haughty spirit of pride
• Hasty Acceptance of Egypt's sensual passions
• Hesitancy to fill God's position
• Hearing (and Believing) others' pronouncements
• Halting God's work to do his own programs
• Humility replaced with his own Self-importance

Three Reasons Joseph Continued to Serve

• His Training through his troubled Past
• His Total Desire to serve in the Present
• His Trust in God's almighty Power
