Spiritual Cleansing - Who Gains From It?

Last week I began a series on SPIRITUAL CLEANSING. I dealt with Who needs it? Specifically I used the woman that had ten coins and lost one of them. Her ensuing hunt and rejoicing shows us our need to have all the tools that God wants us to have as well as having our spiritual house cleaned out! So Who Needs it? - WE DO!!!!

 Today I want to look at who gains from spiritual cleansing. Does it do anything for anyone? Does it change lives????? Whose?????? Everyone that we come into contact with!!!!!

I. Those unable to help themselves - Man at the Pool - Jn. 5:1-

  A. Several impotent at the pool

  B. Man at the pool

    1. Sick for 38 years!

    2. Christ knew and met his need!

 II. Those that are unchangeable - Gadarean - Mk. 5:1-20

  A. Needed Cleansing No one else had been able to help

  B. Lost a legion (A LOT -5-6K)

 III. Those that are sin laden - Woman at the well -John 4:1-42

  A. God loves all races

  B. God is desirous to forgive - NOW!

 IV. Those in contact with His disciples - damsel of divination - Acts 16:16-18

  A. God can reach and clean up those under tremendous control

  B. God cleans up your life - she quit the "seeing" business!

 V. Those that live with them gain! - Lydia Acts 16:14-15; Phillipian jailer 16:19-34

  A. Lydia (wealthy) AND her household were cleansed

  B. The jailer AND his household were cleansed!

 So who really gains? All that are touched by Christ and those they come in contact with as well as their family have the potential to be CLEANSED!!!!!
