It is so funny/different how we see things at times than how those around us see them. It is especially important that the Lord no doubt sees things differently than we do. Are we looking at things the same way the Lord does in our lives????

I. The Rich young Ruler - Mt. 19:16-26

  A. Many are looking for works to do in order to gain salvation. vs. 16

  B. Many are looking for specifics that they might meet a minimum requirement - vs. -18 (which)

  C. Many are self righteous because they obey a set of rules - vs. 20

  D. Christ sees the need for the change in your heart - 21

  E. Many are unwilling to let go of the things that grip their life and prevent their serving God with a sincere approach. (no cost) - vs. 22
 
 

II. The Forsakers of All - 27-30

  A. Many see serving Christ as foolish and unneeded

  B. Many ARE willing to let go of the cares of this world and follow Christ!

  C. Many see sacrifice as a means to achieve eternal goals

  D. Christ looks on the heart's intent & will award us accordingly - vs. 29-30
 
 

III. The Keepers of the Law - Matt. 23:23-33

  A. Many depend on their religion to save them

  B. Many are so religious that they leave Christ and His life-changing conversion at the church - 23

  C. Many are so concerned with looking religious that they neglect the inside part that only God can change 24-25

  D. Many are so concerned with acting religious that they neglect God's plan for their life (ACCEPT CHRIST).
