Last week I preached on the importance of prayer in our lives. Today I hope to bring forth the importance of making a determinate stand for the Lord! Will you serve Him or no??????

I. Determined to serve Him (all the way!) No matter what others do!

A. Serve Him as He is a jealous God - 19-20

1. He expects our best
2. He brings out our best
3. He does not intend to share our best with "other gods"

B. With a clean heart and conscious in front of others! - 22-23
C. With a really determined effort - 24

1. Effort of service
2. Effort of obedience

A. God has a great inheritance we can obtain
B. We can help others meet or obtain their destiny in the Lord. - 31,32

A. There IS a better, holier, more proper place that awaits us after this life
B. A better year CAN await us for the Lord during this life - 1997
