Making an Impact as East 38th St.
Rev. 3:7-22

How can we as a church expect to make an impact for the Lord in our community? There are seven churches listed in Rev. 2 and 3 that tell some aspects of churches that made an impact on those around them. We must be a church that will do what God wants of us in order to be a church that will reach lost souls.

I. We need to be a church with commendable works. Rev. 2:2; 13; 19; 3:1 ; 8; 15

A. Christ commended the works of the churches
B. Christ needs and expects us to labor for Him
II. We need to be a church that has countless love. Rev. 2:19
A. The world above all needs to see our love for them and each other!
B. The world needs to be introduced to the love Christ has for them.
III. We need to be a church that presents a caring attitude. Rev. 2:23
A. The world needs to sense that we see them as more than a number!
B. We need to realize without God's grace we could be where they are.
IV. We need to be a church that combats immorality. Rev. 2:2; 3:4-5;
A. We must stand on what is right!
B. We must stand against what is wrong!
V. We need to be a church that contacts Christ. Rev. 3:17 (NOT);
A. Prayer should be an intregal part of our lives.
B. Christ is one that hears and KNOWS our every need.
