What Is Your Passion? |
|
What does passion mean to you. Of course I don't mean that other meaning for passion. I mean what are you passionate for in your life. What is that something, that you have chosen to drive what you do? What is that talent that God has given you, that special gift that you use to do His will. Do you know what that talent is? Do you know how to find it? Do others know that talent and I don't?
I believe God had given each a special talent. He has given each of us a talent to use for his will. At the very basic thought of it, this would have to be something you are good at (your talent). Something you love to do. If you are like me it took me a while to realize what that was. I always have liked art and reading. I am also a thinker. I find myself naturally analyzing things and situations. For me God has meshed those two together in creating this newsletter. I have allot of thoughts and ideas floating around in my head that I feel God would like me to share. Does that mean all my thoughts and ideas are right and what they should be? No! but if I don't share them I will never gain that knowledge God wants me to have. I think that is the important lesson. You have to get out there and use your lesson to learn from it. Take a chance God is never wrong.
I have listened to many say, “I don't know what that talent is.” What I have found out, most likely, that talent is right in front of your nose. It is the very basic essence of what your are. Some people have very big lofty talents. Others have very small quiet talents. Just like in the parable of the talents. It doesn't matter how many or how large the talent, the importance is that you use the talent that God has given you. I used to pray and pray for God to give me a talent. I should have been praying that God show that talent to me. In my opinion I think that instant that you are created, your talent is created within you. It is from the beginning, a part of you. If you are still having trouble; look at your life. Look at what you love to do. Now how can you use it for God’s purpose. I personally don't think God will be angry for you trying to discover your talent. He may lead you in another direction, but I can't believe he would be angry for you trying or searching.
I absolutely think others see what your talent is before you discover it. Am I the expert on that? No! So don't come and ask me what your talent is. I have many people tell me that I am a creative person. I have also had people tell me I think too much. I also love to talk, watch, meet, laugh with people. Put all of those together and I think this newsletter is perfect. It has taken me 40 years to discover what one of my talents is. I also think I am an odd sort of person. My thoughts sometimes aren't conventional. I don't believe in the box. You know when they say, “think out side of the box.” I don't believe in the box. My thoughts are all over the place. I wouldn't have it any other way. That is how God created me and I love being me. So just get out there and be yourself and love who that is because that is who God loves. |
